Per eXp’s Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA), your sponsor is the person who most influenced your decision to join eXp Realty.
Sponsors earn a small portion of company dollar through eXp’s revenue share model. While naming a sponsor is optional, choosing one you align with unlocks mentorship, systems, and support beyond eXp’s standard brokerage offerings.

No. You can focus solely on selling real estate if you choose.
Revenue share is optional and rewards agents who help grow the company — but recruiting is never required.

Every eXp agent is supported by multiple state/provincial managing brokers for contracts, compliance, and transaction questions.
You also have access to broker support and department staff inside eXp World, our brokerage’s virtual office platform.

No. eXp agents cannot change sponsors while active at the brokerage.
To select a new sponsor, you must leave eXp and wait 12 months before rejoining under someone new. If you return sooner, you’re automatically reassigned to your original sponsor.
